Clare Hamilton Designer, cphc

Clare is a designer and PHI Certified Passive House Consultant dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed, energy-efficient homes. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with a certificate in Building Science and Net-Zero Design from Yestermorrow Design/Build School. Her most valuable education has come from hands-on experience building houses,  where she developed an appreciation for the nuances of construction and the critical relationship between designer and builder.

Raised on a farm along Colorado’s Front Range, Clare’s approach to design is rooted in the practical, down-to-earth values of agriculture. She believes in creating homes that are simple, intentional, and enduring. To her, a home’s functionality and lasting quality are what honor the craftsmanship and raw materials that brought it to be. She is delighted and inspired to work with a team of people that share her passion and values.

Clare calls the mountains and thin air of Leadville, Colorado home. When she’s not at her desk you’ll find her backpacking with her huskey, mountain biking, building something out of wood, or cozied up next to the fire with a good book.
