What you’ll learn:
Day One Schedule
8am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break and 2 snack/coffee breaks.

Introduction to B.Public Prefab components, Off-site construction code standards, general safety, limitations, and training overview.

Passive House, weather protection, air-tightness, thermal bridge free construction,

Exterior Weather Barrier, Interior Vapor & Air Control Layer, Exposure ratings & storage

Thermal by-pass, dense-pack cellulose. Unvented roof assemblies, vapor-control.

Seams, window installation. Gaskets, tapes, & mastics.
-
European install techniques, flashing & Manufacturer rep presentations.
-
Assembly Set information, shop drawings, & sequencing. Service cavities, beams, headers, structural brackets.

Pre-Install Inspections, access, & material handling. Receiving panels, laying out & squaring. Leveling & trouble shooting. Inspections & hand-offs.
Day Two Schedule
8am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break and 2 snack/coffee breaks.

Shipping, off-loading, install equipment.

Rigging standards, general safety, and vocabulary. Sling types, hardware, and equipment inspections. Load angle factors, spreader bars, hoist points.

Crane selection, positioning, working areas, responsibilities. Crane signaling standards and requirements.

Crane signaling trials

Job site Safety, project kick off, communication control.

Rigging, hoisting, and placing real panels into a small structure.

Schedule one-on-one Construction Document review with B.Public design staff. Signup sheet on-site.

Both days of training will take place at our main fabrication facility - the B.PUBLIC prefab R&D Shop at:

There are quite a few great hotels in the town of Las Vegas. Our favorites are the Castaneda and the Plaza Hotels. Both are wonderfully restored historic hotels and have the same owner. Both have restaurants and bars.

Work gloves, closed-toe work shoes, hard hat, & safety glasses. Training will take place primarily in an industrial warehouse, with hands-on rigging and panel setting taking place outside. Please dress accordingly.

We charge $1500 per Project Team Lead to attend, plus $250 per additional Team Member. However, project teams with a signed contract in our pipeline are eligible for a significant discount, as are teams facing disaster rebuilds.
