Dave Knutson
Facility Manager and Operations Lead
After decades spent remodeling and building structures of almost every description, Dave has been on a long search for the sweet spot between efficiency, affordability, and sustainability. That search eventually brought him to B.PUBLIC, and to a team that shares his belief in building differently.
At the Las Vegas New Mexico facility, Dave was instrumental in getting the shop off the ground, and he continues to oversee day-to-day operations, production, and training. Dave brings over 45 years of hands-on experience across general contracting, electrical work, and design-build projects in Washington, Wyoming, and New Mexico. He's worked on just about every kind of building there is, which gives him a wide, practical repertoire to draw from when leading shop operations. He holds New Mexico GB-98 (General Building) and EE-98 (Electrical) qualifying party certifications.
Over the years, Dave has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Casas Por Cristo, Caritas, and Catholic Relief Services, contributing to housing projects across New Mexico, Mexico, and Guatemala. He served for ten years of active duty with the Sapello Rociada Volunteer Fire Department, six of those years as Chief.
When he's not at the shop, you'll likely find him in his home workshop crafting live-edge furniture or enjoying the great outdoors.
