Maui Now: B.PUBLIC Prefab at UH Maui College for Earth Day

B.PUBLIC Prefab's CTO Jonah Stanford presented at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College on the economic, social, and environmental benefits of panelized off-site construction for regional housing markets. The presentation was part of a collaboration with Regen Maui and the Lahaina Community Land Trust, integrating B.PUBLIC's prefab systems into a Living Building Challenge home for a fire-impacted family — while building local workforce capacity through UH Maui College.

We're thrilled to be featured in Maui Now for B.PUBLIC Prefab CTO Jonah Stanford's Earth Day presentation at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College, where he led a free community talk, Leveraging Off-site Construction to Expand Sustainable Housing Opportunities, exploring how panelized prefab construction can accelerate sustainable housing while expanding access to the trades.

The presentation was part of B.PUBLIC's growing collaboration with Regen Maui and the Lahaina Community Land Trust, integrating our off-site construction methods into the Lokia flagship Living Building Challenge home, a regenerative rebuild for a fire-impacted Lahaina family that also serves as a hands-on workforce training platform with UH Maui College.
